Hello God’s people,
Once again the Ghanaian team would like to share with you the joy of the great commission which you have all contributed and supported regardless of the distance between the Ghanaian and American team. We pray and hope that God grant you peace and spiritual growth. The Ghanaian team arrived yesterday from a successful trip and Paul and Heartwill are still in good health by God’s grace.
We want to remind you all that Richard and Kwame will bring the City Team men on the next trip to Half Assini whiles Paul and Heartwill will visit our dear friends on the next trip. Paul and Heartwill are doing a tremendous work by also helping the people arrange a place for the Discovery Bible Studies. They have also informed all the villages and are writing down names of many church elders and pastors.
When Tory was helping us plan about the work in Ghana, we decided to bring all the church elders and pastors in any village together and tell them of the need for the DBS and even tell them of the changes which it can bring. Tory came up with some strategies which will help us by letting them know that we are not here to build church or steal member from their church. We also realized that most of the pastors in the villages are brought in by the elders and about 70% of them live in the city or places with electricity and only come to the village on weekends so we are contacting elders.
The elders are mostly the people’s very own men who were born and grew up in the community and since they make the decisions for the church in their area and command respect, we want to rather focus on them spend time with them and let them know the importance of the DBS. After that we will be bringing the City Team to all these place. We don’t also intend to bring the City Team monthly to the same place like what we do but rather we will prepare men along side who can take over after they receive the training from the City Team.
We bring greetings from all villages in the four regions. Kindly pray for the City Team to arrive safely in Ghana. They will be coming back to Ghana in this week and also pray for our training to be successful and be attended by men God has chosen for the regions. May God bless you all.
