Prior to starting in Alexandria, The Regeneration Center operated two different residential training homes, counseled numerous people and sponsored seminars with several churches in many different communities.
Betty believed that God wanted to move the Regeneration Center to Alexandria, MN, so she moved there and began to look for people who shared the same vision for ministry.
Over the next year, others became interested in being involved.
A leadership team began to meet twice per month. In May, a board began to meet regularly.
The property was used to house Betty and served as the Regeneration Center’s corporate office as well as men’s discipleship training home until it was sold in 2002.
Under the direction of John Johnson, The Regeneration Center provided Life Skills classes for individuals experiencing life challenges.
The Regeneration Center purchased and renovated a building on 6th Avenue East in Alexandria and named it the 6th Avenue Community Center. It is available to the community for events, meetings and seminars.
The Community Kids program was started as a way to provide kids in the immediate neighborhood with a safe place to have fun and experience the love of Jesus.
The Regeneration Center partnered with Bread to the Nations in Haiti.
The Regeneration Center partnered with Marv and Marie Bjorklund and their ministry Place of Hope Africa in South Africa.
The Regeneration Center founded Opportunity Enterprises, LLC, which offers Life Skills and Vocation Training to individuals who have been recently released from jail or prison.
The Regeneration Center partnered with Christian Outreach Fellowship to plant churches, train church leaders and bring social transformation in the rural areas of Ghana.
The Regeneration Center brought 100 audio bibles to Sri Lanka and partnered with Pastor Sathees Kumar and others to bring the Bible to people in their own language.
The Regeneration Center was renamed TRC Ministries to reflect the fact that we are a multidimensional, international organization with several ministries under our umbrella.
