Rich Man Turns to Alcohol
In April 2022, the Church in Bole headed by Obed Iddrissu held an Easter convention.
During one of their prayer sessions, a 30 year old man by the name of Alex came in to fellowship
with them. After the service, Obed approach Alex, welcomed him to church, and chatted with him a while.
During their conversation, Alex told Obed that he lived in the community with his wife and son. He went on to share that he had been a rich and responsible man who took pride in taking good care of his family. However, after experiencing some economic hardships some years back, Alex became very depressed. He turned to alcohol to numb the misery of his life. Eventually that habit became an alcoholic addiction.
Supernatural Prompt Leads to Transformation
Alex told Obed that he was just passing by the church as usual when he felt a strong urge to enter the church and worship
with them. Obed prayed over him and shared the word of God with him. He also encouraged him to continue
attending the Bole Church and assured him that God, in all His mercy, would surely intervene in his
situation.
Alcoholic Finds Freedom in Christ
Obed continued to visit and share the gospel of God with Alex and his family. He has been using the audio Bible in Dagare to minister to Alex and his family to help them learn the word of God in their native language.
Due to his constant visit, prayers, counseling and Bible studies, Alex has refrained from his alcohol consumption and has now become very active in his fellowship with the Bole Church.
