BTG – 1/9/14

Our Dear Friends in the Lord,
The Ghanaian team wishes you all a Happy prosperous New Year. Paul, Richard, Heartwill and I (Kwame) and our families are all in good health as we have started the New Year. We pray that the Lord continues to keep both the  American and Ghanaian teams in good health. Our dear friends whom you all love so much are all doing well and in good health and are growing day by day in the Lord.  I also want to use this opportunity to thank all of you for the prayers and the support you provided for Jehan and I. Now we are married and we thank God so much even though I am not a Muslim and Jehan’s father wanted me to be one, I now rejoice  because God have given me a woman to be Christian.

We also bring you greetings from the Eastern region and the first person as usual is Mr. Amponsah, he calls us every other day to find out if new talking Bible are in yet. From the hill town of Pimpimso, where we showed our first Jesus movie with Tory, Rev. Thomas Kwesi wishes you all a Happy New and still awaiting a Dangme talking Bible for the village. We intend to collect the Akuapem translation and bring it to the Akwapim mountain sometime this year. The team brought good news from Bokunaw Junction and Koryire. At Bokunaw Junction, Charles and Awaitey Johnson has created a place for teaching or group study. Chris Osmond also has united the believers around Koryire and they have already began a study group. Chris Osmond is an evangelist.

Paul and Heartwill brought good news from the Krobo or Dangme mountain and also said Margaret and the other believer from the Afram plains or the region across the lake wishes you all a happy new year. Please pray for the people of Sebia because majority of the villagers are still worshiping the idols. If Tory could remember, it was at Sebia where a sick person was brought to be prayed for and the Queen mother took a bottle of alcohol took the person to the shrine whiles we were getting ready to show them the Jesus movie.

In the Ashanti region, its still a wet season and the team were unlucky this time around and so we are taking our time until the roads are dry. The inhabitants are still using motorbikes to go to places. But right on the Berem Anyinofi road. Paul and Heartwill met with the chief at J1 Dagati, during our Last visit the chief was in the Northern region so he missed the Jesus movie. The people of J1 Dagati are Dagaari people and are from the Northern region of Ghana. This is the only village with the Dagati talking Bible. We also bring you greetings from Seneso and Anyinofi. There are two Seneso villages, and the two villages are about 5 miles apart with each situated both in the Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo respectfully. We currently have a talking Bible in the Brong-Ahafo Seneso and when we last show the Jesus film here, some of the villagers of the Ashanti region Seneso watched it together with us. The Ashanti Seneso has no talking Bible and have requested for one 5 months ago. Also the two villages are separated by the Sene river which is right on the boundary..

In the Brong-Ahafo we bring you greetings all the way Komorkrom to Alhaji Akwra where Kwabena Abantaba lives, also not forgetting about Tory’s very own villages Tumiamayenko. From the suburbs of Nsuatre in the Brong-Ahafo we also bring you greetings from Mmaapehia, KooDonkorkrom, and Aprekukrom and Duaboni.

Villages in the Western region are increasing and at least two villages are added on every trip. The good news is that the people also in the Sefwi community are ready for a study group and they themselves have suggested studying under the cocoa trees because the trees provide good shade. Paul has requested some time from school to help us create centers and places of studying with the talking Bibles where nearby villages can come for a group study. We bring you greetings from all the Sefwi villages. In the south or coastal communities, from Half Assini to Nvuma, we bring you greetings.

For just a year, the talking Bibles has done so much for our people and many are repenting. We also want to use this opportunity to ask you to pray for us in uniting the people to come together and study and also build the body of Christ in the bushes.  There are so many names and villages who sent greetings and testimony of how the talking Bibles are helping them. We want to also say thank you and God bless you all for your contributions. We want to remind you that the family is becoming so big day by day and just as King Solomon prayed for wisdom to rule God’s people, we want you also to pray for us to receive wisdom to help God’s very own people find the light. May God bless you all.

Paul, Kwame, Heartwill and Richard.
