Hello God’s People,
First and foremost, we would like to give thanks to the Almighty God for granting us a wonderful but safe trip to all our brother and sisters in Christ living in those remote part of Ghana. On our last two trips, Paul, Heartwill and I (Kwame) have been blessed with the love from the people. It is our dream that the American team and all our sponsors and everyone who pray for us can one day visit our dear brothers and sister in Christ. Even so, we also pray that this email brings you similar joy, even though you are all thousands of miles away from us we believe that our spirits both the Ghanaian and the American team are joined together because of the same purpose to bring the Light and the Good News to those in the dark.
We are very happy to be back to our families and we hope you are all in good health and blessed by God’s grace. Our car has not given us any problem and we thank God so much, the engine runs well but our air condition is not working also we have to change the tires before we get back on the road and then also change oil.
We also bring you greetings from all over the regions, there are numerous who sent their greetings and gratitude even though they have not meet you in person they believe you have thought of them and want them to be part of God’s plan. We bring you greetings from Mr. Amponsah and Peter Nordzo both from Okubeyeyie.
We can use the entire email to extend greetings from our dear friends. The villages are increasing and if we cag even 100 talking Bibles on every trip we can assure you that it can all be given out to good people who will cherish and use them for the salvation of their soul. These talking Bibles are not being given out just because they must be given out but we are giving them to those interested Christians and new converts. Now, the Ghanaian team are convinced that there is no denomination or program in the nation of Ghana which has come so close to the people we visit to help them get the Word of God in the form we provide through the talking Bible. Again we are convinced that in about two decades the biblical illiteracy can be absolutely reduced if we continue what we are doing.
Now we can increase the towns if we want to and we are praying and hoping to come up with a strategy to not only be able to bring more talking Bibles but also recruit men and women in those remote places to help us. We will start recruiting people from the Eastern region then to the other regions. We want to ask you to help us register what we are doing as an NGO which supplies free talking Bibles to the villages. We want to be in a uniform with a name chosen by the American team neww vid and Tory were visiting us, Tory gave me(Kwame) a Polo shirt which has the Recreation Center emblem. In the past, we were asked of our church’s name and the people wondered if we are not there to preach them about our own customs. This is exactly what the other churches are doing here and now they have come to realise that apart from the Word of God we are not visiting them to build churches or teach them different thing from the Bible.
We’ve all done great work and we cannot remain nameless doing what we are doing, like I stated above, we can contribute to the Biblical literacy in this part of the world and we want the world to know that its the Ghanaian and American team that has brought the light to this part. Its not expensive to register and we do not want the men we recruit to know that we are an organisation and are serious about our work in spreading the Gospel, therefore, we will bring them those shirts to wear when bringing the talking Bibles. We will write you more about the recruit of men.
Our last trip began from Eastern and ended in the Western as usual. From the Eastern region we visited our friends from Nsawam, Okubeyeyie, bowkrom etc before driving to Koforidua the the suburbs. The are some villages that you cannot find on the map we sent you because sometimes those are villages that are under districts or constituencies and are not officially located on the map or may be located in a more detailed map. We also bring you greetings from Okra Kwadwo, Galikorpe and Agorjor. In the Eastern region also, we have new friends from the following towns Asokori, Kaple, Huhunya Yokuyim, Akrosu, Dedeso wereko. We now don’t travel around the Volta lake to the other part of the region like we use to. So we cross the river on a very big boat which we drove our car on. And the town is Adowso near the Volta Lake. We cross the village to Forifori, Kwesiaddai, Samanhyia, Samsei.
From the Northern part of the region we drove through Bonkrom into Ofe which is a North-eastern region of the the Ashanti region. From Ofe we travelled to the following villages which can be located on your map and other suburbs which were not on the map, Sumiso, Surukrom, Densubon, Aboma and Sabuso. This part of the Ahanti region has lots of Muslims and the churches are less. This part is so far the most remotest part of the region and the inhabitants lack various infrastructures. It also has lots of Christian converts. A family at Aboma cooked some yam and dried fish for us. Usually we drive from Ofe to Kumasi to sleep at our place before continuing but this time we drove into Brong Ahafo from Asubon in the Ashanti region to Watoro then to Sunyani before heading to Kwatire, then to Tumiamayenko, Abronye and those small villages on the road. There is so much work to do in the Brong-Ahafo because of the number of Northern region tribes in this region.
In the Brong-Ahafo we have targeted those tribes from the Northern region and sometimes we are not so lucky because in a single village we get about six different tribes and when giving talking Bibles to one tribe the other tribes are left out and we are not atimes happy about their face expressions. The work will be more difficult in this region and we are waiting to ease things by recruiting the same people to bring the talking Bibles to their own people. We also visited Koduakrom a suburb of Nsuatre and Gesuase. On our way to the Western region, we didn’t go to Kumasi or used Obuasi road so we missed the following towns Kwadwokwapia, Apunyase, and Mensahkrom. From the Brong-Ahafo town Amkromkwanta we drove into the north of Western region town Kwesakrom then to Debiso and the suburbs. This is the region of the Western region where they speak a different language from those by the sea in the south. Here they speak Anyin, Sehwi and other languages.
We headed south for Half Assini and the the towns along the coast like Nzemtienu . There are so many villages on our way to the south and in the future we would like to visit those places and the good about these place is that they all speak Twi. We also bring you greetings from Blay, Baka, Kokua, Ezoah and Archer. Our next trip will begin this week because staying home makes the work more difficult. Please keep us in your prayers as usual and may the Good Lord bless you all.
Paul and Kwame.
