Hello God’s People,

Once again we have completed another successful Eastern region trip and would like to share with you the good works of God in this region through the talking Bibles. Richard and I on this trip would like to write you weekly regional emails for you to also know how far we’ve traveled.

We hope you are all doing great by the grace of God and we are also fine. Eastern region, comes next to Western region looking the number of regions and the languages spoken, We have divided this region into four parts, the first part is the Akwapim mountains where the people love to hear the word so much. Now, when you look on the map we sent you, you will see a region in the eastern region which northern village is Akosombo and the southern village is Kitase

The natives of this of section of the region are the Akwapim people. Even though there are so many other tribes in this region we have encountered so many situations where more than three tribes live in the villages. The Akwapim people are also Akans but have another language called Mentemente or Larteh Language. At first we thought there might be a translated talking Bible in their language but we found out that the official language is Akwapim. As at now we have still not been able to cover all this part because of the numerous villages and few Akwapim talking Bibles. We need atleast 20 Akan-Akwapim for this region. We have recorded over 30 remote villages and these people are fervently waiting for us to bring them talking Bibles. Even though we have shown them the Jesus movie its not enough and the want the Word in their villages.

The next section of this region is the Krobo mountains, where so far we have visited over 30 villages. The Krobos use the Dangme talking Bibles and the demand in this region is very high. There are more remote towns and no churches in many of the villages. Some of the people walk at least 15 miles every weekend to church in those other villages with electricity. Both the Krobos and the Kwahu people live on the same mountain but the Krobos live from Begoro to Abuaso then Asesewa and Bokunaw and to Okrakwajo where David,Tory and I arrived late and woke the chief when they were visiting. So far, it would be a blessing if we can be supplied about 20 talking Bibles in the Dangme language to our dear friends in this section of the region.

There is also another mountain or high lands right beside the Krobo and Kwahu high lands, this place has the Akyem people. The northern town of this high land is Akyem-Awenare to Amangfrom then extends to Awaham, there are also also many villages on this high lands which were not listed. There is also a vast land if you take a further look at the left side of the high land. We have not yet gone to this areas because of lack of funds and talking Bibles. There are many people there who also deserve the chance into the Kingdom of God. We think about them also. God has bless our work so much and has given us all that we need to take the word far. Now, both the American and Ghanaian team have to think hard and find means to bring the Word to the people. The missionaries are doing their works in those place where roads are suitable and even though we can’t really tell whether any church or group have visit the places where we have visited, we are convinced the people weren’t visited on so many occasions and there was nothing like the talking Bibles. The Akyem people also speak Ashanti and since there are few Ashanti villages we want to start visiting the people in the near future. It would be nice to have about 15 Ashanti bibles to bring to these people.

The other section of this region is the area across the Volta lake and starting from Ekyiamenfurom to Kodidi, Aboumasalfou, Somsei and Kwesiadae. Native of Kwesiadea are really waiting on us to see the Jesus film. We haven’t been able to show them the Jesus movie because of the time. The boat that crosses the lake to the other side at Adowso closes early everyday so we always have up to 5pm to return on time to cross the lake. This section also have various languages, ewe, Akwapim, and some northern region languages. We need about 10 talking Bibles for this region in any Akan language. Last but not least, we want to include the Kwahu villages to the Ashanti villages because both have few villages at this side. Ashanti region has more villages on the west than east.

We are in the Ashanti region resting for a day and then continue the trip. God bless you all and hope you enjoy the email.

Kwame and Richard.
