A Time of Blessing
The ministry of “La Cosecha” is strengthening the bonds of love, resulting in a stronger and more united community. Whether through sicknesses, personal challenges, or rejoicing in one another’s victories, the brothers at “La Cosecha” have united to pray, intercede, and celebrate together.
“This has been a time of much blessing,” Oti writes. “We give many thanks to God because we feel that he has strengthened the bonds of love between the brothers in the church.”
Paul often admonished the early church to prioritize a loving unity in his letters to Ephesus and Corinth, which is something Oti has taken to heart. “We know that a church united in the love of the Lord is a strong church,” Oti says, which is why the leadership of “La Cosecha” is encouraged and filled with joy to see the presence of God working to bring about a closer fellowship among the men that are there.
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-3, ESV)
Oti is committed to letting the Word of God be the light and guide for not only his personal life, but also the ministry of “La Cosecha.” As a result, considerable effort is put into the teaching for the Saturday discipleship classes as well as the Sunday services each week, and the men are learning much about God both through instruction and through the love that is modeled by Oti and his family.
The Ministry Continues to Grow
The projects at “La Cosecha” continue to keep the men busy with work. In addition to daily activities, the men have put glass in some windows at their residence, help maintain a chicken barn, are currently working to build a covered pen for the sheep, and have newly purchased some little piglets. Running a working farm and providing for residence requires constant financial support, and “La Cosecha” continues to steward the finances that God sends them with wisdom and integrity in order to provide for those in their care.
If you would like to contribute to this ministry, you can give a one-time gift today or set up a recurring gift to bless these wonderful people who continue to submit to God with all humility and joy.
