How the truth of the Gospel inspired one man to live out his faith
Isaac Nagmne Mala is 30 years old and a member of the Bole Church.
Isaac was born into a Christian home, however he did not believe in Christ and the things of God. This was because Christianity in his village back then was just a name referred to a Church goer and not a devoted Christian. As a result, the so-called Christians do things not befitting a Christian. Even though he called himself a Christian, Isaac’s life was very miserable.
Obed (a COF missionary) and his team met him in March 2022 during their door-to-door evangelism. They continued to visit and share the gospel with him until they started noticing certain changes in his attention to the gospel. He began to be eager to hear the word of God. Realizing his enthusiasm and joy for the gospel, Obed gave him the audio Bible to be able to listen to the gospel even when they were unable to visit him.
Isaac encountered his breakthrough during one of his listening sessions as he heard the gospel according to John 1:4-5, 8 (NIV) “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it… Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”. Hearing this, he realized that he had not accepted Christ as his savior, and also he was not living his life as a Christian was supposed to.
Ever since the truth of the Gospel was revealed to him through the audio Bible and the conviction of the Holy Spirit, Isaac has truly surrendered his life to God, and has also devoted his life and time to the things of God. He continued to seek the knowledge of the Word of God. He has also started a fellowship of about 7 people in a village called Sakpa around Bole. Obed and his team have decided to start a church in that village using Isaac’s fellowship members.

- Pray that Isaac will continue to seek the face of God.
- Pray also that he will grow in the knowledge and teachings of Christ and also stay true to the gospel.
- Pray for Isaac as he enters into leadership in the kingdom of God.
- Pray for the village of Sakpa, that the whole village would hear and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ.
