“But as for the seed sown on good soil, this is the person who hears the word and understands. He bears fruit, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.” – Matthew 13:23
My wife, Gaby, began serving at a youth home for street children in 1998 and was serving there until 2006, since that year we got married and started with the work at “La Cosecha”.
During those years, Gaby dealt with many boys and girls whom she took care of, and most of all shared the Word of God with. Her relationship with the girls was very close since she lived there 24 hours a day, and for that reason shared their joys and sorrows. Among those girls was Carolina.
At that time, they did not imagine that in the year 2021 Carolina would come to live at “La Cosecha”, to give of that which she received by grace. Today, Carolina is in charge of the “Semillero” (nursery), taking care of the children that are in “La Cosecha”. Caro, as we affectionately call her, is in charge of sowing the seed of the Gospel in the next generation, giving these children the love of Christ just as she received it. Gaby enjoys seeing the work that God did and continues to do today in Carolina, and she feels blessed to see that the Word that was planted during those years is bearing fruit today. Glory be to God!
We encourage you, brothers and sisters, to continue with faith and enthusiasm the work that God has called you to do, because what is sown with faith, obedience, joy, and even with tears, will have its fruit.
