Marv and Marie Bjorklund, founders of Place of Hope Africa, still await their permanent residence that will allow them to remain in South Africa without needing to travel back to the United States to renew their VISAs. This delay also affects their permanent custody of Sthembiso.
A 13-year-old girl in their community just gave birth to a baby, and there is a good chance the baby will come to them. Please be praying for safety, health, and provision for the girl and her child.
Aphelele and Miss Ginger riding in a homemade wagon.
Aphelele has been staying with Marv and Marie temporarily while her mom has eye surgery. The surgery went well and Marv and Marie pray that Aphelele will be able to be reunited with her mom soon!
Additional prayer requests:
- That Marie would experience complete healing from her car accident
- That they would receive their permanent residence, allowing Sthembiso to remain with them permanently
- For Marie’s trip back to the US this winter to be with her father who is in poor health
Marv and Marie Bjorklund, partnered with TRC Ministries, operate Place of Hope Africa. Their mission is to provide emergency housing and care for children in South Africa who have been affected by AIDS, neglect, poverty, substance abuse, and more.
